NaNoWriMo Nov Day 1: Barry Cunningham

Posted by Jazz on Tuesday November 1st, 2016

Aaaand we're off! It's day 1 of NaNoWriMo and we can hear fingers furiously tapping keyboards from here. We'll be sharing top writing tips – plus advice on how to keep that novel going each day – from lots of different authors from now up to the end of the month. If you feel your motivation waning, look no further than the Chicken House blog!

We're starting the month with something a bit different – tips from our MD and Publisher, Barry Cunningham. If there's someone who knows writing, it's Barry – he's responsible for discovering a little-known author that you might have heard of, J.K. Rowling. Without further ado, here are Barry's top tips!

Fancy being in with a shot of winning a £10k publishing contract (and joining us for the fancy dinner above)? Of course you do! Enter the Times/Chicken House Children's Fiction Competition and you could find yourself as our newest author.
