Beetle Queen is published today!

Yes, you read that right, the time has finally come; Beetle Queen is officially published today! You may have already spotted it in Waterstones before now, but as of today the epic sequel to M.G. Leonard's Beetle Boy is on shelves everywhere.

We're super excited for the return of our three brave heroes, Darkus, Virginia and Bertolt, and of course their beetle buddies. Even more adventures await as our bold heroes try to stop the evil Lucretia’s devious plots. She's back, and more wicked than ever ...

Cruel beetle fashionista, Lucretia Cutter, is at large with her yellow ladybird spies. When Darkus, Virginia and Bertolt discover further evidence of her evil, they’re determined to stop her. But the three friends are in trouble. Darkus’ dad has forbidden them to investigate any further – and Lucretia’s disgusting crooks, Humphrey and Pickering, are out of prison. Hope rests on Novak, Lucretia’s daughter and a Hollywood actress, but the beetle diva is always one scuttle ahead …

With Beetle Boy being called ‘a fizzing, delightful debut’ by the Guardian and ‘reminiscent of Roald Dahl’ by The Bookseller, we have no doubt that Beetle Queen will creepy-crawl its way to similar success.

If you’ve been living the bug life under a rock somewhere and missed Beetle Boy, you can catch up on Darkus and Baxter's adventures by ordering a copy here.
